Welcome

The Joaquin Moraga Adobe in Orinda is the oldest surviving building in Contra Costa County and is recognized as a California Historic Landmark and an Orinda City Landmark.

Come Celebrate Old California
1840s Style!

Join us for a festive evening of authentic music, dancing, gourment food and lots of fun. This is our 5th annual Fandango to benefit the historic 1841 Moraga Adobe. Take a step back in time and party like it's 1841!

Each year since, 2014 the Friends of the Joaquin Moraga Adobe have hosted a Fandango to raise funds and awareness to preserve this important landmark and to provide community access to the building and grounds.

Join in this fun outdoor evening of great food and entertainment. Interactive music and dance of authenic Hispanic California will be performed by Los ArribeƱos de San Francisco. This group is so enjoyable to watch, but the best part is that they encourage folks to join in - they would love to teach you traditional dance moves.

Popular Orinda Chef, Charles Vollmar, owner of Epicurean Exchange, will be catering this event, providing hearty dinner salads with a Rancho twist. Wine, beer and complementary non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
